My story
During an internship in the maternity wards of Tanzania, part of my nursing studies, I immediately felt it: this is what I want to do.
Back in the Netherlands, I followed my heart and began training as a midwife.
In the ten years that followed, I worked with great love and dedication at a midwifery practice in Amsterdam.
There, I had the privilege of guiding hundreds of women and their partners through pregnancy, birth, and the early days of parenthood.
My own path to motherhood began a few years ago.
After stopping the pill, my periods didn’t return, and I was diagnosed with PCOS.
The message was clear: getting pregnant naturally would be difficult, and hormone treatment was “the only option.”
But deep down, I knew; this isn’t my way.
Within the medical system, I found little support, so I started my own research. With the help of a dietitian, acupuncture, lifestyle and nutrition adjustments, and a deeper understanding of the effects of stress and the nervous system on the cycle, my body gradually found its way back to balance.
My cycle returned, and without medication, I conceived our son Mees. Three years later, our daughter Loua followed.
This experience has deeply shaped me, not only as a woman but also as a healthcare professional. I know what it feels like when getting pregnant doesn’t happen easily, and how valuable it is to have someone who truly thinks along with you, beyond the medical findings.
Fertility never stands alone. It reflects how you live, eat, sleep, think, and feel. It’s intertwined with your hormones, your nervous system, your environment, and your emotions.
With my background as a midwife and my own personal experience, I combine medical knowledge with cycle awareness, orthomolecular insights, lifestyle coaching, and nervous system regulation. No standard protocols, but an approach tailored to your unique situation and life story. Because there really is no one-size-fits-all.
You deserve to be seen and understood, and you deserve guidance that truly fits you.
